Bought these to go with another similar frame I bought years ago. Simple, classic design and looks good.I’m so glad I didn’t take some of the other reviews to heart or I may not have purchased. I purchased for my masters degree. This is a great frame. It has weight to it. It doesn’t seem cheap at all, imho. It totally does the job and looks wonderful on the wall. The back is velvety, and the gold trim on the frame itself has a antique-y, aged kind of look that makes the overall presentation look absolutely gorgeous and classy. I was hoping for a lighter color for it to be walnut, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I highly recommend.So glad I didn't buy a frame from the university when I graduated. SO GLAD. The ones the university offer are a huge ripoff. Its like the cherry on the cake to rip you off just a little bit more. Shame on them.This frame was perfect for wall hanging. The one complain is that one of the frames I ordered for my 2 degrees was a little damaged(trivial really). One degree fit perfect, and the other did not. Then the one that did not had to have the backing adjusted so that it could sit flat against the window. Fixed with an extra piece of cardboard to fill the space. No biggy. I have 2 frames with 2 degrees hanging on my wall and no one knows if I paid 20$ for each frame or 150$ for each frame. You should do the same. ;)I use this frame to hang my professional degree in my home office. It is comparable to many higher end (>$100) frames out there found in your local bookstore/framer. Here's the deal:Here's what the frame IS:1) Very reasonably priced2) The finish is smooth and even3) The glass is clean and without impurities4) relatively light-weight5) Good quality metal wall mounts (both horizontal and vertical)Here's what the frame ISN'T:1) Large - It's large enough for a standard 11x14 diploma, no more, no less2) Fancy - no peripheral felt or trimming3) Wood - It's made out of some sort of resin/composite, but no one will noticeOverall, I see no "cons" to this product. I got my diploma in the summer and my school mailed me information about purchasing frames from a third company. I looked at the prices and they were all priced around $150. $150? For a frame? HELL NO! So, I decided to go on amazon to look for a cheap frame but looked nice. This is the one! The front looks very nice but the back looks very cheaply made. But who cares? No one is going to look at the back anyway!Money well spent.Great for the price! Really looked nice.It's hard to get a document frame locally so was excited that this reasonably priced one was on amazon. The quality is fantastic and the sizing is accurate.I recently passed my Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Exam and received the certificate that was 11X14. Although, I wanted to put this on the wall of my home office, I didn't really want to spend a $100 either.I was a little apprehensive given the small price tag but could not be more pleased when it arrived. It already has mounts installed for either horizontal or vertical placement...one nail or two. It also has a fold out if you want to stand it up on a desk. The frame looked amazingly professional and you would never know that you bought it for less than $15!!!Well, hot damn, i'm not sure if there is anything in the whole universe that could hold a diploma or other official documentation on my wall better than a picture frame. Thumb-tacks, chewing gum, and scotch tape are for chumps. 11/10. Changed my entire life.I needed a frame for my BCIT Diploma, and this does the job just fine. It has everything needed on the back to stand it or hang in portrait or landscape orientation. When I get my degree, I might go more fancy, but for a Diploma or Certificate it looks good!It's a frame, what more do you want? Full set of mounting options on the back which I quite like in case you don't know where you want to put your framed object. For the price, I'd get this over anything that I can get in a store.Pretty good quality but I ordered two of these and I received two different frames... I ended up returning both since I didn't want to hassle with unreliable products.Very simple and nice frame. I put my college diploma in it as I did not want to buy the really expensive ones from school. Looks great.
